Sservice and Accomplishment Rendered to Community and Mankind. We were one of ten chapters recognized in the state. Congratulations to all of us. Last of all, in the Parade of Chapters, we were recognized as the third best chapter in the state, in the small chapter competition. This is the first time in recent years we have been recognized and we were heartily congratulated by our friends in the Ypsilanti, Riverview and Allen Park.. But what else goes on at convention. There are two evening parties on Friday and Saturday Night. These were fun and who knows what Romulus will shape up to be, but one might start accumulating beads now. Did I hear New Orleans? Well, aided by 80 degree weather and a heated pool, a gathering of skinny dippers took advantage of the weather on Friday Night. Tsk, tsk, tsk. I'm not really sure of exactly what chapter they were from, (maybe Westland, maybe not) but Region H has two highly creative kleptomaniacs running around. The region room was getting crowded with Jaycees, the Howell Banner (Later returned), a UFO hat and a strange looking tin foil and cardboard spaceship in front of the unit. It all made for a fun weekend. Make sure you make the next convention. Let yourself go, get some training and have fun. Your Editor, Bill Jasman. 676-4838, or email at jasmanw@ili.net
