Trenton First United Methodist Church
Baptisms at Trenton First United Methodist Church
As a Christian church, we welcome the sacrament of baptism. The United
Methodist church practices infant baptism (also for children), and
believer baptism for youth and adults. The baptism you may have
received in another congregation is recognized here.
Church membership is not a requirement for baptism.
First Church, built in 1926, is a beautiful setting for baptisms
for infants, children, and adults.
The sanctuary seats about 237, with seating for 165 on the main
floor (including 2 wheelchair spaces, close to a wheelchair-accessible,
unisex restroom), and seating for 72 more in the balcony.
More text follows the baptism photos.
No one is too young for baptism at First Church.

A high, peaked ceiling and pale yellow walls provide a spacious
feeling in balance with dark red carpeting and the dark oak woodwork,
pulpit, lectern, and pews (with 2" cushions).

For comfort and convenience, First Church removed two rows of the
original pews and respaced those remaining, providing additional
legroom and easier entry and exit. The respacing increased the space
between the front pews and the communion rail to five feet, which
nicely accommodates everyone up front for a baptism.

Call the office and make an appointment with our pastor
for additional baptism information.
