Maplegrove Community Education Children's Camp
   

Maplegrove Children’s Camps for children aged 5 – 13 are fun and FREE -- and have
important messages for children from homes where there is, or has been, alcohol
or drug abuse.

Growing up in a home where there is alcohol, other drug abuse, or family stresses
can be confusing and difficult for a child.  Maplegrove Community Education
Children’s Programs work with children whose parents are dealing with, or have
dealt with, substance abuse.  Programs offer children resources for dealing
with the issues they face:
  ·  effects drugs and alcohol have on the body
  ·  knowing how addictions affect the entire family
  ·  how to take care of oneself
  ·  how to say no (to temptations by peers to abuse drugs)
  ·  how to identify safe and helpful people
  ·  how to express oneself in a safe and healthy manner
